Connecting Cheshire announces 16,000 more properties to get fibre broadband
The Connecting Cheshire rollout project has announced it will be connecting a further 16,000 homes and businesses in the region to superfast fibre optic broadband.
Sandiway, Tarporley, Saughall and Tarvin are next in line to receive access to the technological infrastructure, taking the total number of Cheshire premises connected under the rollout to more than 31,000.
These areas join Chester, Neston, Weaverham, Guilden Sutton, Tattenhall and Christleton, following their switch-on to the service, which took place earlier this year.
Bryan Evans, who lives in Tarvin, near Chester, has already gained access to the high-speed technology. He commented: "I am much happier with my broadband service since switching to fibre. It is more consistent with no dropouts and the installation was very simple."
Other Cheshire residents wishing to join Mr Evans in enjoying the benefits of superfast broadband should contact their network provider to find out more about gaining a connection.
Together with BT's own commercial rollout, the Connecting Cheshire project aims to bring fibre broadband to approximately 400,000 properties in the region by the end of next year.
