Fibre broadband on the menu at new hi-tech pub

Punters at the Faraday in Epsom can now connect to superfast fibre broadband.

A new hi-tech pub has opened its doors in Epsom, offering superfast fibre optic broadband, USB charging sockets, an interactive jukebox and a Wi-Fi printer, alongside traditional food and drink.

The Faraday - formerly known as the Vestry - has recently reopened following an extensive £215,000 refurbishment, which it hopes will widen its customer base, with the more technological elements of the pub appealing to local students.

In particular, the interactive jukebox is expected to be a highlight, as it will enable customers to download tracks they have heard instantly, or play music from their phone through the hi-tech system.

General Manager of the Faraday Josh Massen commented: "There's a phenomenal change to the pub. The refurbishment has allowed us to think out of the box."

He added that combining the much-loved elements of the traditional pub environment have blended successfully with the latest technology, making it an attractive venue for all.

And in a clever free marketing tactic, a loyalty card scheme has been introduced for punters who discuss the pub on social media.
