Fibre broadband rapidly expanding across south-west

More than 7,000 subscribers are expected to benefit from the high-speed revolution as a result of the development.
South-west regional director for BT Jon Reynolds underlined the fact that the fibre network provided by his organisation is expanding rapidly throughout the region.
Furthermore, local economies are set to receive a boost wherever it goes.
The expert cited research that indicates fibre is expected to bolster a town's economy by £143 million, as well as aiding with the creation of 225 new jobs, 140 new start-up businesses and 1,000 more homeworkers.
"As more than a million UK households and businesses have already discovered, fibre broadband opens up a whole new world to internet users," Mr Reynolds commented, adding: "Whatever you're doing online, you can do it better and faster with fibre."
