Gigabit fibre broadband arrives at Marlin apartments in London
Serviced apartments firm Marlin is now offering gigabit fibre optic broadband at three of its sites in London, thanks to work from network operator Hyperoptic.
All travellers staying at the three properties – Empire Square (London Bridge), Canary Wharf and Queen Street (St Paul's) – will be able to access free broadband, and will be offered the opportunity to upgrade to speeds of 100Mbps or even 1,000Mbps.
The service offers symmetrical speeds and can be tailored to the individual visitor's length of stay at the apartments.
Upgrades can be introduced on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and can be reused over multiple stays, even if the customer chooses a different apartment on their next stay.
Susan Cully, Managing Director at Marlin, said the company is always looking for new ways to gain an edge over its rivals in London's serviced apartments market, which according to Savills grew by 12.7 per cent in the second quarter of 2013.
"Offering the best-in-class connectivity was a natural move for us – it's our job to give travellers what they need to enjoy their stay to the full," she added.
"Broadband is now an essential factor that impacts the quality of a traveller's stay."
