Metronet delivers fibre broadband network to Crewe
Crewe and the surrounding areas are the latest parts of the UK to gain access to Metronet's wireless and fibre optic broadband network.
By utilising a combination of high-capacity wireless and fibre broadband technologies, the network operator offers an alternative to businesses that have traditionally struggled to access a fast connection.
The company delivers broadband solutions to clients across the north-west and the Midlands and is a partner to organisations such as Manchester City Football Club, Vodafone and Laing O'Rourke.
Elliott Mueller, chief executive of Metronet, claimed the government's super-fast broadband targets favour consumers over businesses, which are in need of "rock-solid connectivity".
"The economics simply don't stack up for traditional providers to run fibre to the often dispersed locations where businesses call home," he added.
Last month, Metronet announced the launch of its next-generation network in Tamworth, offering local firms the chance to take advantage of services that are typically around ten times faster than typical copper and fibre-based solutions.
